Great Place to see wildflowers
Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
Photos by James Henry Frazar

The Lady Bird Johnson in Austin is the place to see wildflowers. It is located on the southwest side of Austin at 4801 La Crosse Ave. The flowers bloom year round, but do take a hat when you go to see them. Most of the center is out in the open.
Here's a couple of examples of the flora at the center. What flowers you see when you go out there depend on the time of year. The below bluebonnets are blooming in the spring.

When you think of Texas flowers, you think of bluebonnets

So get up and close to the state's flower at Lady Bird in the spring.

For more photos of flowers from the wildflower center, visit this page of my website: www.pcwordsmith.com/LadyBird1.htm.
